A Hip Hop Debate Adv

I don't understand why anyone likes hip hop music.
How can you enjoy listening to such offensive music?
It's violent, aggressive, and demeaning to women.
What makes you say it's violent?
All they ever talk about is guns, drugs, and abusing women.
That's not true!
There are some rappers that only talk about that.
But these days rappers mostly talk about money.
Alright, but apart from the subject matter...
There's nothing interesting about the music itself.
All the songs sound the same.
If you've heard one, you've heard them all. (See "Background Information" below)
Well keep in mind though...
You have to listen for a while to appreciate it.
You have to train your ear to hear the different musical features.
Then you can figure out what you like and don't like.
The problem is that...
People who judge it only hear what's on the radio, which is crap.
What's mainstream kinda sucks.
You have to probe a little further to find the good stuff.
Besides, hip hop goes way beyond music; it's a whole culture.
It appeals to youth worldwide, and that can't be for nothing.
If it were just about guns and money...
...how could it mean so much to so many people?

Background Information:

The expression above is more commonly used with the verb "see" - "If you've seen one you've seen them all." It works fine with any verb though.
